The main objective of the LIFE-ACCLIMATE project is to implement and demonstrate a sustainable and resource-efficient greenhouse horticulture model as a climate change adaptation strategy, leveraging the use of advanced technologies such as ground and aerial robots, artificial intelligence (AI) and Decision support systems (DSS). The project aims to demonstrate the benefits of this model for crop yield, resource use efficiency, pests and diseases management based on eco-friendly and sustainable strategies and greenhouse gas emissions reduction
THE ROLE OF THE INNOVALIA ASSOCIATION
Innovalia plays a key role in the LIFE-ACCLIMATE project as the technical coordinator, leading the supervision of the implementation and technical progress of all activities. Innovalia is also responsible for the design and development of a Decision Support System (DSS) specifically tailored for greenhouse horticulture. This system will integrate data generated by terrestrial and aerial robotic platforms, artificial intelligence algorithms, and intuitive interfaces to provide accurate and personalized recommendations that optimize agricultural decision-making.
In addition, Innovalia leads tasks related to the deployment of the complete solution in demonstration scenarios and will conduct a comprehensive analysis to assess the transferability and replicability of the results obtained.
