MOTO

The MOTO project proposes research into 4G/LTE technology limitations in situations of congestion and how opportunistic networks can reliably use them to offload part of the traffic from 4G/LTE networks.

Thanks to offloading solutions, operators decide on the amount of broadband to assign in order to support a multitude of users who share services flexibly and efficiently, and that are capable of handling traffic peaks without excess provisioning of the infrastructure and without blocking service to users.

THE ROLE OF THE INNOVALIA ASSOCIATION

Innovalia’s main contribution to the project is in the area of security and distributed trust. In particular, Innovalia is responsible for the design and implementation of a security guarantee framework. Innovalia also contributes to simulation tasks within the project.
